I decided finally to do another thing, which is a skateboarding game. I might not hope to become a skateboarder in the real world, but I can still do so on my iPad via Skateboard Party 3 with Pro Skater Ggr Lutzka, a game released by the Ratrod Studio development team.
Skateboard Party 3 reminded me a little while when I played Tony Hawks Pro Skater almost 16 years ago. This statement is a compliment, of course, because at that time the game was a game of skateboarding that was a favorite for young people of that time and certainly also my own favorite. Therefore, I don’t have to ask anymore, I’m really happy when I feel nostalgia with Skateboard Party 3.
More pleased because in Skateboard Party 3 there are three main modes: career mode, free mode, and not multiplayer too. Free mode is the mode I really like. Here, players can try different types of tricks and learn to run two trick combinations at once. Even better, the players can learn more than 40 tricks in this single game.
Players who would like to play more seriously can use career mode. In career mode, a number of missions are given to players. And this mission must certainly be completed in a limited period of time. When a number of tasks on one map are fulfilled, the player can open a different map to complete the next task in another place.
Unique, players are allowed to skateboard freely for fun in Skateboard Party 3. However, it doesn’t matter if the player really wants to practice himself seriously. Animations when players are doing tricks are good, but the development team seems to focus only on the specific part. While other minor details, such as the fall of a player, don’t care from any angles, the characters in the game will fall in the same position. Small details like this don’t really affect your game, but I feel quite troubled by the animation that looks less obvious repeatedly after playing for a while.
Music is something else that I believe less attention is paid to certain parts, for example the menu. Party 3 will play a number of song titles if the player acts on the map. But when the player switches to the main menu, the music won’t continue. So when the player is on the main menu, you are always listening to the same background music, which I honestly believe is very tedious to hear.
