The player’s mission as the leader of the Blackhorne Industries forces is to destroy the whole outbreak pood before the governments take the easy steps in order to blow up the entire world with a nuclear bomb. This is the story which has been delivered in an action shooter game called Global Outbreak against zombies with strategic elements made by ShortRound Games.
As mentioned previously, Global Outbreak brings the player as the owner of a special private force to protect the Earth against a deadly virus. Players control a special forces team with all controls via a touch screen in a battlefield viewed from above. To move the team, the player simply touches the screen, then the player’s team moves to the desired position. In order to kill zombies, the player just has to cross the target and the team will shoot him.
However, players will spend the most time on the Globe screen, which is certainly familiar to X-COM fans. This is where players can build bases, buy helicopters, recruit soldiers, do upgrades, investigate and, of course, send soldiers to critical locations, such as an outbreak city.
