Help Om Noms On The Way
By the most recent iteration of Cut the Rope: Magic, recently released at the end of 2015, Om Nom returned to operation on a mobile device screen. What is different from the predecessors’ series? Is the puzzle within the brain more and more challenging? Check out my experience with Cut the Rope: the magic below.
During the reading and chewing on sweets, Om Noms suddenly enters the book he reads. In the book it turns out to be the work of an evil wizard. Om Nom didn’t remain still and went into the book to get his candy. His decision to enter the world of fantasy in the book is a skill Om Nom hadn’t had before. He now has the magical power to change form to recover stolen sweets.
The ability to change shape gives the Cut the Rope puzzle a new dimension. Now I’m not just thinking about the sequence of cuts to give Om Names babies, but I must also determine the strategy and the timing of the right shape to gather three stars and to eat sweets at each level.
Changing forms also give a new role to these lovely green creatures. He doesn’t wait for candy to roll on, but he gets closer by means of mechanisms and level design to get his favorite food.
Not Too Different As Its Forerunner
Not much changes from the Cut the Rope puzzle mechanism: magic. Like its predecessor, I was invited to cut the cloth on each level so that the dough could reach the mouth of Om Noms.
While it is very familiar, the presence of magical nuances makes the puzzle still fresh at each level. There is new puzzle here, such as the presence of an aura that can flow objects into its path or the ability of a bad wizard to suck sweets, which does not make me bored immediately.
Zeptolab also offers an IAP to purchase crystals as an in-game currency. These crystals can be used to open the next level earlier or to purchase completion instructions. The nature of this IAP is completely optional, because without buying it, I can still enjoy the entire game content.
